Jennifer Aniston doesn't want children
Jennifer Aniston has spoken out and defended her decision not to have children.
"I don’t like [the pressure] that people put on me, on women—that you’ve failed yourself as a female because you haven’t procreated,’ Aniston, 46, told US magazine Allure. "I don’t think it’s fair. You may not have a child come out of your vagina, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t mothering—dogs, friends, friends’ children."
"This continually is said about me: that I was so career-driven and focused on myself; that I don’t want to be a mother, and how selfish that is…Even saying it gets me a little tight in my throat," added the former Friends star.
"I am a firm believer that it is absolutely nobody’s business but your own whether you have kids or not and I never ask. We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors – whether someone is trying and failing, or has simply concluded it’s not for them, a decision I totally respect."
